We hope this website provides information to parents, students and community members regarding the Colchester Middle School Music Program.
The music department at CMS strives to encourage a creative community of developing musicians. We are proud to have several performing ensembles in addition to many general music classes. Students may participate in: grade-level Chorus, 6th and 7/8th grade Band, auditioned after school Show Choir, Select Choir, after school Jazz Band, and/or yearly school musical. Our curriculum is comprised of rhythm studies, composition, basic recorder and guitar performance and techniques, music history and beginning music theory.
