Practicing and Practice Logs
Since our time together in full rehearsal is so limited, students must practice at home to continue developing their instrumental skills.
***The format of our practice logs has changed! ***
Please take a moment to read the information below called 'New Band Log Information 2015' with your student. This new format will continue to be discussed in class.
Practicing can consist of (but is not limited to): practicing music for a concert, preparing for the District Music Festival audition, practicing scales, or practicing new notes/percussion rudiments. Even if a student is under the weather or left their instrument somewhere else, they should still find a way to practice fingerings of notes/practicing rudiments with an ‘impromptu’ instrument (like a pencil or two spoons).
